भारतीय उच्चायोग, पोर्ट ऑफ स्पेन द्वारा हिंदी संवर्धन के लिए किए जा रहे प्रयास
- भारतीय उच्चायोग, पोर्ट ऑफ स्पेन पिछले लगभग 33 वर्षों से यहां के हिंदी प्रेमियों के लिए नि:शुल्क हिंदी कक्षाएं संचालित करता आ रहा है। इस प्रकार उच्चायोग द्वारा अब तक हजारों की संख्या में स्थानीय लोगों को हिंदी सिखाने का महत्वपूर्ण कार्य किया गया है।
- स्थानीय डायसपोरा संगठनों के अनुरोध पर सत्र 2021-22 से उच्चायोग द्वारा संस्कृत कक्षाएं भी प्रारंभ की गई हैं। इन सभी कक्षाओं का संचालन स्थानीय शिक्षकों के सहयोग से किया जा रहा है।
- इसी प्रकार भारतीय उच्चायोग केंद्रीय हिंदी संस्थान, शिक्षा मंत्रालय की हिंदी छात्रवृत्ति योजना के अंतर्गत पिछले कई वर्षों से स्थानीय युवावर्ग को भारत में हिंदी सीखने के लिए नामांकित करता आ रहा है। इस योजना के अंतर्गत अब तक 34 स्थानीय छात्रों को एक वर्षीय हिंदी पाठ्यक्रम के लिए आगरा भेजा जा चुका है। यह गर्व का विषय है कि वर्तमान सत्र में इस योजना के तहत केंद्रीय हिंदी संस्थान, आगरा में चार छात्र वहां हिंदी सीख रहे हैं।
- भारतीय उच्चायोग, पोर्ट ऑफ स्पेन द्वारा हर वर्ष हिंदी दिवस/पखवाड़ा और विश्व हिंदी दिवस का आयोजन किया जाता है और स्टॉफ सदस्यों के साथ साथ स्थानीय लोगों के लिए विभिन्न हिंदी प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित की जाती हैं और विजेताओं को पुरस्कार दिए जाते हैं।
- कोविड-19 महामारी आने के पहले उच्चायोग की सभी हिंदी कक्षाएं भौतिक रूप में आयोजित की जाती थीं, परन्तु महामारी आने पर जब पूरी दुनिया एक तरह से अपने घरों में कैद थी, तब उच्चायोग ने प्रायौगिक तौर पर कुछ हिंदी कक्षाएं ऑनलाइन मोड में शुरू कीं। इतना ही नहीं, सत्र 2020-21 की वार्षिक परीक्षा भी ऑनलाइन ही आयोजित की गई।
- यह प्रयोग इतना सफल रहा कि उच्चायोग की हिंदी और संस्कृत कक्षाओं के लिए पिछले तीन सत्रों (सत्र 2021-22 में 436, सत्र 2022-23 में 321 और सत्र 2023-24 में अब तक 268) में स्थानीय छात्रों द्वारा रिकॉर्डतोड़ पंजीकरण कराया गया।
- चालू सत्र (2023-24) में उच्चायोग द्वारा ऑनलाइन कक्षाओं के साथ साथ महात्मा गांधी सांस्कृतिक सहयोग केंद्र (एमजीआईसीसी), माउंट होप, एल डोरैडो शिव मंदिर, एल डोरैडो, एक्सचेंज शिव मंदिर कूवा में भौतिक कक्षाएं पुन: प्रारंभ की गई हैं।
- इसके अतिरिक्त सेलिक्स मेमोरियल टेम्पल, पीनाल में एक नई भौतिक कक्षा प्रारंभ की गई हैं, जिसमें अब तक 28 छात्रों ने पंजीकरण कराया है।
- इस प्रकार वर्तमान सत्र में कुल मिलाकर ऑनलाइन और ऑफलाइन दोनों माध्यम से उच्चायोग के साथ सैकड़ों छात्र हिंदी और संस्कृत सीख रहे हैं।
10. इसके अलावा, उच्चायोग कुछ अन्य स्थानीय संगठनों और विद्यालयों में भी भौतिक हिंदी कक्षाएं प्रारंभ करने के लिए उनके संपर्क में है।
Efforts being made by High Commission of India, Port of Spain for promotion of Hindi
1. The High Commission of India, Port of Spain has been conducting free Hindi classes for the Hindi lovers here for the last 33 years. Thus, till now the High Commission has done important work of teaching Hindi to thousands of local people.
2. On the request of some local diaspora organizations, Sanskrit classes have also been started by the High Commission from the session 2021-22. All these classes are being conducted with the help of local teachers.
3. Similarly, the High Commission of India has also been enrolling local youth to learn Hindi in India for the last several years under the Hindi Scholarship Scheme of Central Hindi Institute, Agra under Ministry of Education. Under this scheme, so far 34 local students have been sent to Agra for a one-year Hindi course. It is a matter of pride that in the current session 04 students have been enrolled under this scheme and learning Hindi at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan.
4. High Commission of India, Port of Spain organizes Hindi Day/Fortnight and World Hindi Day every year and various Hindi competitions are also organized for the staff members as well as the local people; and the winners are given prizes.
5. Before the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic, all the Hindi classes of the High Commission of India were conducted in physical form, but at outbreak of the pandemic, when the entire world was virtually imprisoned in their homes, the High Commission of India started some Hindi classes in online mode on an experimental basis. Not only this, the annual examination for the session 2020-21 was also conducted online.
6. This experiment was so successful that record-breaking registrations were done by local students for the Hindi and Sanskrit classes of the High Commission in the last three sessions (436 in session 2021-22, 321 in session 2022-23 and 268 so far in session 2023-24).
7. In the current session (2023-24), the High Commission has resumed its physical classes along with online classes at Mahatma Gandhi Center for Cultural Collaboration (MGICC), Mt. Hope, El Dorado Shiv Mandir, El Dorado, Exchange Shiv Mandir Couva.
8. Additionally, a new physical class has been started at Selick’s Memorial Temple, Pinal, in which 28 students have registered so far.
9. Thus, in the current session, hundreds of students are learning Hindi and Sanskrit with High Commission through both online and offline medium.
10. Also, the High Commission is in touch with some other local organizations and schools to start other physical classes.
