INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS UNDER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME FOR DIASPORA CHILDREN

The Government of India (GOI) has invited application for the academic session 2016-17 under Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC)’ scheme enables Children of Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), to pursue Under Graduate courses in Indian Universities/Institutes in different fields (except medical and related courses) both professional and non-professional in Engineering/Technology, Humanities/Liberal Arts, Commerce, Management, Journalism, Hotel Management, Agriculture/Animal husbandry etc.

This time the number of scholarships has been enhanced from 100 to 150 with introduction of 50 scholarships for children of Indian workers employed in the ECR countries. Last date for submit the online application forms on the SPDC portal is 14 October, 2016.For detailed information about the courses, eligibility and submission of forms please log on to High Commission's website www.hcipos.in or www.spdcindia.gov.in
