Over the years, the Indian diaspora has transformed itself into an influential global community and have established themselves as one of the successful diaspora in the world—both economically and politically, with many Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) occupying important positions in the politics and governance in their countries of destination.
PM Modi has dreamed of a “self-reliant India” to overcome the economic crisis unleashed by the COVID pandemic. He is pursuing the goal of making the country a $5 trillion economy.
Uttar Pradesh (UP) is committed to making a significant contribution towards this goal. UP has become the best business and investment destination in India and ranks second in terms of economy, playing the role of the growth engine for the country. Various business reform initiatives, Policy support and sectoral interventions have led to all round development of the State.
Realizing the need for forging a symbiotic relationship between Uttar Pradesh and its diaspora, the State Government has set up a full-fledged NRI department which has been playing a very vital role in strengthening linkages between U.P. diaspora and several other diaspora communities, International trade and investment forums, Chambers of Commerce spread across the globe and motivating them to bring in investments to the State and extend all possible assistance in the challenging times.
UP NRI department would like to seek your support in connecting with NRIs / PIOs (Businessman, Professionals, Entrepreneurs, Researchers) and Prominent Indian /Foreign Employers based in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to explore mutual synergies in the following areas:
